Icky

Icky, was, for a few years in childhood, one of Jared and Audrey's go-to words of choice. They would use it to describe everything negative, often in place of the word dumb. It was also a frequent descriptor of Abi, not because they had any malice toward her, but just because it was silly.

The word was also a choice lyric in a few of Jared's choice phrases, like “icky kutja kutja.” In fact, Jared and Audrey used icky so much that their parents actually banned them from saying it. This was something completely unprecedented in their household.

Apparently, though, it worked — after a few months of the ban they naturally grew out of wanting to say it. The same could not be said for dumb.
