For some reason, Jared has always enjoyed startling Audrey by smiling big and rapidly shaking his head close to her face, leaning in and out. He tries to get as close as possible to her without touching, testing whether she'll flinch.
She has always hated it, even more than many of his other habits.
Over the years, he has continued to do it, partially for nostalgia, partially for the shock value. It's a sign of brotherly love, even as Audrey remains deeply annoyed by it. In his mind, he means to communicate, “I'm right here, and I'm never going anywhere.” ❐
